EN Archaeological excavations at a cremation cemetery of the Przeworsk culture at Ostrów, site 21, Podkarpackie Voivodeship, located in the San River basin, yielded metal elements of a Roman military belt, so-called cingulum, found in a warrior’s grave. The feature from which the artefact was recovered dates to the Marcomannic wars. As can be observed, during the 2nd century, the Przeworsk culture population moved south to the basin of the Tisza River. These migrations coincide with the first appearance of the Vandal tribe of Hasdingi, attested by written sources, which originated, as is generally assumed, in the area encompassed by the Przeworsk culture.
