EN The reconstruction of the spatial organization of the Mesolithic camp was presented using the example of a selected flint material from the Nieborowa site located in central eastern Poland. The results of the study discussed in this paper were compared with data obtained by archaeologists from other European research centers. In addition to the detailed interpretation of individual activity zones established based on refitted flint blocks and the dispersion of fictionally identified lithics, this paper also discusses the problem of dividing tasks into “male” and “female” jobs, drawing on the conclusions presented in ethnoarchaeological publications and the methodology of studying archaeological sources applied by the authors. The last issue discussed in the context of the spatial organization of activity zones is the role that the analyzed settlement episode played in the socio-cultural system of late Mesolithic communities.
FR La reconstitution de l’aménagement de l’espace dans un campement mésolithique est présentée sur l’exemple du matériel issu d’un site situé dans le centre-est de la Pologne. Les résultats de cette recherche sont présentés et comparés aux données obtenues par les chercheurs représentant d’autres centres scientifiques européens. Outre l’interprétation détaillée de différentes aires d’activités délimitées sur la base d’assemblages et de dispersions de silex fonctionnellement déterminés, l’article aborde également la question de la division des occupations masculines et féminines, en s’appuyant sur la littérature ethnoarchéologique et la méthodologie appliquée à l’étude des sources archéologiques. Le dernier point abordé dans le contexte de la disposition des zones d’activités, est la question de l’importance de l’épisode sédentaire dans le système culturel et social des communautés du Mésolithique tardif.
